Miedema's Ride
We transformed this mild-mannered dumpster (support your local trash hauler!) into a screaming rigid chopper. After sectioning the dumpster we were able to shoehorn in a fully polished TP 121" motor and a Jims polished 5 speed trans mated to a BDL belt drive. This drivetrain makes this lite bike a rocket. The Handlebars were custom mounted and then mated to a set of PM hand controls. The rear brake is Exile while the front is a PM that drags the front to a halt. The forks are imported from Italy and are made by GCB. The pipes are one off pieces and the air comes in via one of Lee Wimmers stacks. Danny Gray stitched up seat featuring the spade and special diamonds using matching thread.
This bike was photographed by the world famous Michael Lichter for future use in one of the Easyrider's family of magazines. The chrome frame gives it the appearance of a Hot Wheels toy. The rear wheel looks like a mirror and can be deceiving. This bike was featured in the American Biker series of baseball style cards that debuted in Sturgis '04.
